In regard to COVID-19, we have stepped up the awareness campaigns in Qardho, Garowe, Burtinle and Bossaso IDPs camps. In the month of October, we managed to reach 3000 families through face-to-face campaigns which included distribution of COVID-19 protection kits comprising hygiene soaps, facemasks and gloves, a total of 110 families benefited from the kits. …
In strengthening the skills, competencies, and abilities of staffs and camp leaders under CCCM project, PSA recently conducted; a three-day training on CCCM structures for camp leaders, the training also delved on the principles of management for case workers and CCCM enumerators
Camp management is one of the integral components of CCCM project being implemented by PSA in partnership with UNHCR, as part of the activities, in the month of October; we rolled out garbage collection in Gardo and Burtinle IDP settlements. 50 household were selected from each site and the exercise ended on 28th October 2020, …
Under the Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) project (2020), being implemented by PSA in partnership with UNHCR; We concluded the distribution of plastic tarpaulin sheets to the selected beneficiaries that were recently affected by the floods in Gardo, a total of 901 families benefited from the intervention.

On 24th October 2020, PSA conducted community engagement forum in Garowe IDP camps, the participants were brought together with the aim of engaging them in discussions on the applicable ways of mitigating and preventing GBV cases. The forum was attended by various community members including opinion leaders within the community and leadership in general.
