PSA distributed food items to vulnerable families in Kalabaydh, Sool region, the families are among those recently displaced from Laas Anood due to the ongoing conflict that has affected thousands of families in the area.
A total of 30 vulnerable families were selected and registered as beneficiaries(majority being PLWDs), each family received 25 kg of sugar, 25 kg of flour, 25 kg of rice and 3 litres of cooking oil.
The objectives of the intervention is a response that will enable the target households to meet their immediate food needs and nutrition requirements and transition them toward recovery, while strengthening their coping mechanisms, and taking into account their specific needs.
