knowing that education has a central part to play in challenging the negative social norms that drive gender-based violence. On 22nd June 2019, PSA held quarterly school awareness sessions in Non-formal Schools in IDPs camps in Qardho which is attended by elderly people, 400 participants took part in the events.
We used the session to educate the participants on gender-based violence and how it continues to be a global epidemic with dire consequences for women, their families and entire communities which leads to negative mental and physical health consequences for women and limits their decision-making ability and mobility, thereby reducing productivity and earnings.
